Description
Residential areas are defined in Article 2f of the Off-Airport Landing Ordinance (AuLaV; SR 748.132.3). Residential areas are defined as urban areas or groups of at least ten inhabited buildings, including the area within a radius of 100 metres. Landing in residential areas is prohibited for the following purposes:
- Passenger transport for tourist or leisure purposes (Art. 25b AuLaV),
- Non-commercial flights (Art. 32b AuLaV),
- Training flights (Art. 34b AuLaV).
The ARE's "housing estate" dataset forms the basis for identifying and presenting "residential areas" and is updated annually.
