opendata.swiss is Switzerland’s national portal for open government data. It contains thousands of datasets issued by the Swiss Confederation, cantons, cities and other public institutions. The portal is integral to Switzerland’s open data strategy and promotes transparency, innovation and public engagement.

Metadata quality indicators on opendata.swiss: new dashboard
25 February 2025
The Open Government Data (OGD) Office is launching a dashboard on opendata.swiss to evaluate and improve the quality of open government metadata. This tool allows providers to obtain a detailed evaluation of the quality of their metadata in line with FAIR principles. The project, which is part of the OGD Masterplan 2024‒2027, was developed by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
