Description

Induced Rockfall Experimental Data, Tschamut, GR, Switzerland

The archive contains site specific geographical data as well as the deposition points of manually induced rockfall by releasing differently shaped boulders with 30–80 kg of mass. Additionally availabe are the StoneNode v1.0 sensor streams for the equipped rocks.

The OverviewFigures file serves as quick representation of the included data. It also contains the overview table for the rock masses in order to set the dimensions accordingly in RAMMS::ROCKFALL.

The archive contains the following folders: <\ul>

  • DEM: ArcGIS compatible DEM Tschamut_DEM_2m (grid resolution of 2 m) as well as the .asc grid used in RAMMS::ROCKFALL simulations
  • DepositionPoints: containing two folders RF Tschamut Frozen and RF Tschamut WET containing each a shapefile with the complete deposition data of each series as well as deposition shapfiles for each rock shape.
  • DigitizedRocks: Digitized point clouds of the used rocks as used for RAMMS::ROCKFALL simulations (.pts files) (dimensions have to be checked).
  • Orthofoto: Orthophoto of the experimental site obtained via UAV with 5 cm resolution.
