Description
The maps on extreme point precipitation describe the precipitation depths for rare heavy precipitation events under current climatic conditions. The analyses can be presented for return periods of 2 to 300 years. Currently, results are available for extreme rainfall accumulations over 72, 48, 24, 12, and 6 hours, as well as 180, 60, 10, 5, and 2 minutes. Analyses for additional durations will be integrated later. For each grid cell, a table can be displayed showing the return values of precipitation for the centre of the cell (median and uncertainty). It should be noted that the colour scale varies between the different durations. In interpreting these results, the restrictive notes in Section 4 of the accompanying text should be taken into account.
