Description
This data set contains information on the average selling price of a daily or Sunday newspaper per year. It shows how much, on average, a newspaper cost at a newsagent in a given year. The prices were calculated as the average of the retail prices of all print media for which WEMF-certified circulation figures are available for the respective year. These retail prices were researched specifically by OFCOM's Media Services Section. The price of the first regular issue of each year was collected through desk research and document analysis. The retail prices, and thus also the averages in this data set, are not adjusted for inflation.
This dataset can be visualized on visualize.admin.ch.
