Description
Permeability is measured using saturated soil core samples in the laboratory. Observations in the field highlighted a relationship between precipitation, permeability and morphological features. The least permeable soil horizon of the top 50 cm was evaluated. (Details: Soil suitability map of Switzerland, March 1980).
